Dubai’s Winter Outdoor Season Returns with Expanded Family Experiences
As temperatures ease across the emirate, Dubai’s outdoor calendar is reviving with a fresh wave of seasonal attractions, redesigned family zones, and new ways to engage with nature, fitness, and global culture—all tailored for residents seeking affordable, accessible activities this winter.
Hatta Wadi Hub reopened on September 28, expanding its mountain retreat offerings with two restored heritage trailers, named "Route 1948" and "1958 Coach," now available for overnight stays. Each features air conditioning, private BBQ areas, and queen beds for two guests. The Aerial Adventure Park remains open daily from 9am to 7pm, with activities ranging from Dh15 for the suspended net walkway to Dh170 for the twin zip line. Additional offerings include archery, axe throwing, and mountain biking along upgraded trails.
Dubai Parks and Resorts prepares to reopen on October 7, aligning with the UAE’s mid-term school break. The resort’s four parks—MOTIONGATE Dubai, LEGOLAND Dubai, LEGOLAND Waterpark, and Real Madrid World—will operate under unchanged pricing structures from last season. A single-park day pass starts at Dh295 when booked online, with combo tickets available. This year, new character meet-and-greets and enhanced ride technology are confirmed, but no new theme zones have been added.
Dubai Miracle Garden opens on October 8, returning with its signature 72,000-square-metre floral display, including the iconic Airbus A380 sculpture made of over 10 million blooms. Entry fees are Dh100 for adults and Dh80 for children. The Butterfly Garden, housing more than 15,000 live butterflies, is accessible separately for Dh70, and night-time illumination zones stay open until 9pm daily. A combo ticket for both attractions is available for Dh140.
The Ripe Market resumes at Academy Park on October 10, running every Saturday and Sunday through May 2, 2027. With over 200 local vendors, the market offers fresh produce, artisan crafts, wellness workshops, and free children’s art stations. A Dh5 entry fee applies, payable on-site, and the event continues to serve as a pillar of community-supported commerce in Dubai.
Dubai Safari Park reopens on October 12 for its eighth season. While official 2026-2027 ticket prices are yet to be published, last year’s base rate was Dh50, and the premium Royal Safari Experience—offering private tours and behind-the-scenes access—is expected to return with minor adjustments. No new animal births or digital storytelling trails have been officially confirmed.
Global Village launches its 31st season on October 14, featuring pavilions from over 90 countries, 3,500 shopping outlets, and 250 dining concepts. Operating hours shift to 4pm–1am on weekends and holidays, and 4pm–midnight Sunday–Wednesday. Ticket pricing has not been officially confirmed, but previous seasons charged Dh25–Dh30, with free entry for children under three, seniors over 65, and People of Determination with valid ID.
Dubai Crocodile Park has been open since September 15, now offering an expanded Natural History Museum and an augmented reality exhibit detailing crocodile conservation. Visitors can book timed encounters with baby crocodiles, and general admission remains Dh95 for adults and Dh75 for children.
The Dubai Fitness Challenge returns from October 31 to November 29 for its tenth edition, encouraging residents to complete 30 minutes of daily activity across 1,500+ free events—from beach yoga to trail running in Hatta. Organized by Dubai’s government, the initiative has helped expand public cycling infrastructure by 300% since 2020 and now includes expanded Fitness Hubs in Al Quoz and Dubai Hills. Over 3 million participants joined last year’s challenge.
